This is an overview for how to implement the Law of attraction.  You ask the universe (for me, it’s God) for what you want, then you believe it’s coming or already here, then you keep your eye out for it to appear, or something better.  That’s it at it’s basic level.

Nothing too terribly complicated about the process.  On this page, I’m going to go more in depth on how to go through this process here.  For clarity of writing, I’m going to use the word ‘goal’ for your intention/desire/want/etc.

Ask:

First and foremost, you need to decide exactly what you want.  It’s not enough to just ‘want more money’ or ‘want a new/better job’ and think that’s going to cut it.  You need specifics.  You need to be able to describe to someone what exactly you want. If someone was to wake you up at 3am and ask you what you want, you should be able to tell them your goal without thought.

The way to think of this is is like going to a bank or a job recruiter.  you wouldn’t go to the bank and say ‘I want loan’.  The bank officer would, if they’re polite, ask you some specific questions about how much, what you need it for, etc.  The more detailed you are about how much money you need and why, the easier and more likely it is for the bank to be able to provide you a loan.  Same thing with the Law of Attraction.  You need details and specifics.  For example, one of my current intentions (as of 10/10/10) is to have $5,000,000 in the bank from proceeds from my business ventures by August of 2011.  I intend to have at least 1,000 customers online, at least 20 fundraising groups, and several retail outlets that I supply.  Since I really just started this venture at the middle of August of 2010, this is a tall order, but I know it’ll add to my belief in the Law of Attraction when it happens, since I don’t have any idea how it’s going to happen otherwise.  I’m still working on making it more specific and detailed, but there’s a limit to this, which I’ll explain in the next step.
Once you determine exactly what you want, you need to write down your goal on paper, with all the details and specifics.  This is where a lot of people run into problems with having this work.  You have to use specific language that makes your goals present tense.  You can’t use wording like ‘I will have $10,000’, or ‘I will have a new job that will earn me $100,000 a year’.  The reason and logic behind it is that the wording make it an event that’s going to take place somewhere in the future.  There’s no sense of urgency.  The example I like I got from the Effortless Success course.  It’s like saying you’re going to be in NYC.  You’re not there, you’re somewhere on the way there, but you’re not there.  What you need to do is write your goal as if it is already real/has already happened.  Along with using the present tense, you also need to visualize what it’s like to have this goal accomplished.  How do you feel, what does it look like, how has your life changed, etc.. The sharper the visualization, and the more senses you can get into it the stronger it will be.  This can’t be stressed enough.  The more emotion you can build into the goal, the more of your 5 senses you can include (the feel of the wind in your hair from the top being down in your new car, how the rumble of the engine sounds, how it feels not worrying about the car breaking down, the smell of the leather seats, the warmth of the sun shining down on you, how it looks, how you felt driving it off the lot, etc). One caveat that you want to add is the ending statement “or something better”. I’ll go into the reasons why in the section of improving results.

So to continue with the example, it’s not enough to have a goal of ‘I have a job that I earn $100,000 a year’, although it’s a good step in the right direction. What’s much better is to say something like ‘It’s great having this wonderful job where I’m earning $100,000 a year.  It’s such a relief not to have to worry about money any more.  It’s great being able to take the family out without counting nickels.

Visualize what it’ll be like to have this goal in the present tense.   Visualize as much as possible what you wrote down on paper.

Believe:
“Faith is praying for rain,  while belief is brining an umbrella….” (saying I saw on a t-shirt)
Now that you know what you want, having described in great detail and visualized what you wanted, you start getting into the area that most people have problems. Believing you’re going to get what you want.  Most people don’t have faith that they’re going to receive what they’re asking for, but it’s the main force that attracts your goal to you.  If you don’t believe it’s coming, then it doesn’t matter how specific and details your goal was in the Ask section.

Part of the believing that you’re going to receive it is making sure that every time you have a negative thought towards the possibility of you receiving what you’re asking for, you gently tell yourself that you understand that you have doubts but this time it’s going to work.  If you can, immediately try and find a quiet spot where you can focus on your goal again and relive the feelings you felt when focusing on your goal to reinforce the vision.

If you can’t do it now, then at the earliest possible time, go ahead and your focus session.
Make sure you focus on your goal at least once a day, preferrably twice a day (when you get up and when you go to bed so it’s the first thing on your mind in the morning and the last thing at night).  Ideally would be every time you have a free moment of time.  Keep it fresh and real in your mind.  It’ll help start drowning out all the negative thoughts in your mind.

Receive:
Now that you’ve decided what you want, have focused on what you want, and are fully expecting and believing it’s going to come, you have to keep an eye out for it.  What this means is that you need to start noticing your feelings, gut reactions, things you never noticed before, random impulses, etc.  Basically anything out of the ordinary.

The way the universe is usually going to work is by sending you what you want or something even better, but not by the way you expect.  Going back to the goal of earning $100,000 a year, you might be thinking it’s by getting a raise, whereas you might be chatting with a friend and they talk about a seminar for how to buy real estate.  Or maybe you are going out to lunch and you get an impulse to go somewhere different.  You might get there and start up a conversation with a stranger that may lead to a better job.  You never know how it’s going to manifest.

Another thing to keep in mind is the universe doesn’t understand the concept of time.  With that being said, your goal may show up within minutes, hours, days, or even years.  With this in mind, unless this is your only goal, it’s not something that you’re going to be able to focus on every day for years most likely, although if you can, the universe can’t help but to bring you what you want.

Now assuming you’re human like the rest of us, you’re eventually going to change what you’re focusing on.  That’s fine, even desired.  Just make sure you touch base with your previous goals that are still ‘out there’ from time to time.  For one thing, you might realize you got it or something better without even realizing it.  I’ve had that happen a few times, and under the section of my experiences, I’ll relate one that my wife had, which ultimately led her to meeting me and eventually resulting in us getting married over 10 years ago.
That’s pretty much it.  Those are the basic steps to activation the Law of Attraction in your life.  There are a lot of things that you can do to improve your results, but if you just follow this basic outline, you’ll be doing better than a lot of people out there.
