Now I’m not talking about going to a hypnotherapist, but self-hypnosis. One of the points I’ll keep going back to is the importance of getting to alpha state to help make the Law of Attraction work more easily for you. Hypnosis is a great way to do this. There’s two different ways to do self hypnosis, well three ways, but two of them are related.

The first way is by writing a script based off of correct hypnosis practices. I’ll be adding books in the resources area that specifically teach you scripts that work for helping you in a lot of different ways. Granted, they’re not specifically geared to LoA type stuff, but using the building blocks in these books, it’s very easy to modify and build them.

Another way is to read it to yourself a script that you’ve memorized. You can do it either by recording yourself reading the script, or memorize it enough to be able to mentally recite it to yourself. Once you do it often enough, it’s rather easy to get into the correct state for your ‘requests’ to have an impact.

One way to get to the correct level to be able to accept “suggestions” is to use the count down method. Basically, it’s a visual/mental countdown method. Basically, the steps are as follows:

  1. Close your eyes
  2. Visualize yourself walking down a staircase or something similar
  3. Here’s where it get’s flexible. If you’ve never been to alpha/trance state, it’s going to take a longer time to get to the correct level. With that being said, if this is your first time, you’re going to want to start at 50 or somewhere close. By the time you hit 1, you should be close to the right state of mind. After doing that process for 10-20 times, then you can usually cut down the count to 25. Another 10-20 times, cut it again to about 10, then eventually after enough practice, you can do it with a count of 5.
  4. Once you’ve reached the trance level, you start reciting to yourself the positive affirmations that you want to program your subconscious mind with. If you don’t know how to craft positive affirmations, let me know and I can help you with it. Granted, I’m not a licensed hypnotherapist (yet) but I can give you some pointers based off of standard rules.
  5. Finally, you do your positive closing statement, something along the lines of “this is what I want or something even better” and then start the process of coming out of trance. You would normally count back up from 1 to 5 slowly, using positive affirmations like “you are slowly rising back to a conscious level, feeling fully refreshed and wide awake”. One of the other affirmations you should be making is that when you reach 5, you will be completely refreshed and fully awake. Once you hit five, repeat the statement that you’re wide awake and fully refreshed and slowly open your eyes.
