This has been a long 3 months. The plans I made didn’t work out as planned, but it did provide me a different perspective into what the Law of Attraction is.

For the past 2 1/2 months, my Mom has been in the hospital due to what can be considered serious health conditions. More than once we thought we were going to lose her. That obviously put a halt to any plans I had for trying to keep up with this site, or anything else for that matter.

What I did learn is that the Law of Attraction can do some amazing things, but it’s not a magic bullet that fixes everything. The first time we thought we were going to lose my Mom, I focused everything into her getting better. I didn’t know what else to do under the circumstances. I had prayed that she’d get better, but to no avail. I had actually started doing the final paperwork to admit her to a facility to basically wait to die. I figured since I had nothing to lose, I went to visit her and focused on her getting better.

Since I’ve had some internal martial arts training, I focused on sending her energy and visualized her getting better. I spent about 5 minutes in deep concentration and focus on the mental picture of her getting better. Whether it was that, luck, or prayers being answered, within 24 hours, she had basically had a miraculous recovery. The doctors were baffled as to her complete turn around.

I had actually entered into my journal what I had done. Within 6 hours of my visit, she was already starting to make significant improvements. By the time we got back to visit her again, she had improved so drastically that the discharge planner didn’t know what to do. Everything that she had started to set up for us had to be scrapped because she didn’t need hospice care any more. Instead, she’s now in rehab to get strong enough to come home. In fact, she’s due to come home within the next 2 weeks.

Do I feel that what I did had a positive impact. Absolutely. Do I feel that she would have died if I hadn’t done what I had done. Again, quite certain that she wouldn’t have pulled through. Thing is, did it directly impact her health, or did a bunch of coincidences line up just right to make a difference. One thing we found out after my ‘session’ was reports that they took her off of one of the medications they were giving her. We’ve gotten mixed information on this, so we’re not 100% sure of the medication being stopped, but if it was, then it was directly causing her issues.

Was it just chance that, assuming there was a drug interaction, that it just so happened that once I exerted my will, that they would just happen to figure that since she was going to hospice to die, then she didn’t need to be taking this particular drug, which just so happened to be causing the condition in the first place?

How often can it be said that if it wasn’t for the fact that a patient was so sick that they didn’t need a medication that, after the fact, was found to be causing said issue? I’m pretty sure it doesn’t happen very often. Whatever the reasons, causes, or anything else for that matter, all I can say is that my Mom is still with us and looking forward to coming home with us.

So… What did I get out of all this and caused me to somewhat ramble through this post? Simple… The Law of Attraction isn’t a panacea, but it does help tip the scales in your favor when the need and desire is strong enough. Yes, it can be used for petty stuff, like how I was able to get a front row parking spot right at the door in underground parking 3 days before Christmas, to the point that the car was literally just pulling out of their spot just as I got there. Yeah, that’s all good and fun to experience, but to know that your parent is going to be around longer, that’s the real gold of learning how to use the Law of Attraction.

I just hope I never have to worry about trying to use it again under similar circumstances.
