Honestly, I didn’t really like this video.  Maybe that’s not the right way to phrase it.  I didn’t really get a lot out of it.  Maybe a little of both.  Guess the best way to say it is this video didn’t really impress me too terribly much.  I know this is where most people are going to get their first exposure to the Law of Attraction, so I have to look at it from that perspective.

Granted, I did read the book first, (thought it was ok, and someday I’ll write a review), but I don’t think that would have made that big of a difference in my opinion as far as I’m concerned.

Now before you start flaming me, I’m not trying to imply that it was inaccurate, misleading, didn’t help a lot of people, or any of that.  I just think that there was more left out of the video that should have been included to make it a well rounded video.  I think it’s main failing is the simplistic outlook it has.  It keeps going over and over how the universe is unlimited, and that using the Law of Attraction is like calling upon a Genie to do your bidding.  One of the big glaring holes was how it never really says anything about how to get rid of anything negative in your conscious and unconscious mind that may inhibit your use of the Law of Attraction.

Another big problem is that this video gives the impression that all you have to do is wish for something and it’s going to come to you.  I’m not going to say it can’t happen, but it’s usually reserved to people with a higher level of experience and mental/spiritual growth.  The average person has to much mental ‘junk’ to just ‘wish’ something into existence unless by some chance they really have no blockages for the thing they’re trying to attract or they have a strong enough desire that blows through any blockages they may have.  For the rest of us mere mortals, actual work needs to be done to have your desires manifest into your life.  It’s like the saying goes, don’t wait for your boat to come in, swim out to meet it.

I’ve read one of the two books that Rhonda mentions as being the basis of her search/quest to learn more about the Law of Attraction and I think that these books (I do have the other book, it came as a two books under one cover format) do a better job of covering all the steps better than the Secret does, and would recommend reading them in conjunction or even before seeing the video to get the most out of it.

For what she was trying to accomplish with the video, I think she hit the mark dead on.  For people who know nothing about it, this video can definitely give them a start in the right direction, but I would never advise someone that this is the only thing they’d ever need.  Most people who have never been exposed to the Law of Attraction will get some positive results out of seeing and believing this video, but unless you deal with your unconscious negative blockages, you’re only going to get the minimum out of the Law of Attraction and your learning/belief curve is going to be much flatter than it could have been, maybe to the point of not believing the Law of Attraction actually exists.

In closing, if you’re going to get this video, you owe it to yourself to get some supplemental material to go along with it, preferably something on how to ‘clear’ yourself.
